Kristina - Founder and President
Kristina has loved animals her entire life. She considered being a veterinarian or doctor, but ultimately stepped into a career in cancer research and clinical trials. In 2019, she was called to use her lifelong overwhelming love for animals to help pet families in need. Hand & Paw was born in Jan 2020, and since then Kristina has worked during evenings (after her day job) and the weekends to build Hand & Paw, develop community relationships, find people and pets in need, and oversee every Hand & Paw activity.
She’s driven to be a shining light and expression of God’s love to those in need, giving God the glory (Matthew 5:16).
Kristina’s that person you see on the side of the road, stopped to rescue a stray dog. She takes in every abandoned animal she finds. She’s given food to the homeless with pets around the world during business travel. She would “save them all” if she could, and has taught others to love animals in ways they’ve never imagined.
Jason - Vice President
This guy’s been a dog owner and lover for most of his life. His first memories of pets started with a stray his father found at a construction site in 1982 (Levi, an Australian Shepherd). For over 40 years, Jason has loved owning pets which have included: an iguana, a parakeet, a turtle, even fish (do they count? He thinks so), many, many dogs, cats, and even recently GOATS!
Jason loves working hard, especially when it’s volunteering and serving with Hand & Paw.
Stephanie - Community Outreach Coordinator
Stephanie is a passionate dog lover with deep affection for our furry friends. From a young age, she has been captivated by the loyalty, playfulness, and unconditional love that dogs bring into our lives. Growing up with a family dog, Stephanie developed a strong bond and understanding of canine behavior. Outside of work and volunteering with Hand & Paw, Stephanie enjoys spending time outdoors with her beloved dog, Teddy. Whether it’s going for long walks, playing fetch in the park, or simply cuddling on the couch, Stephanie cherishes every moment she gets to spend with her canine companion.
